Job Summary
The Registered Nurse position at Singing River Pascagoula Hospital (night shift 7p-7a) requires providing patient care using the Nursing Process in compliance with the Mississippi Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, SRHS policies, and applicable ethics and accreditation guidelines. The role emphasizes delivering compassionate, high-quality care, maintaining necessary certifications (BCLS and specialty-area ACLS/PALS/TNCC/NRP where applicable), and achieving de-escalation competencies within 90 days. The RN may supervise LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, and Unit Technicians, and must have at least one year of inpatient clinical experience with ongoing certification development and readiness to work in a high-demand hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from NLN School of Nursing
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi
- BCLS certification upon hire
- Specialty-area certifications (Cath Lab – ACLS; Cardiac Rehab – ACLS; Congestive Heart Failure – ACLS; Cardiovascular Surgery – ACLS; Emergency Department – ACLS, PALS, TNCC; Intensive Care Units – ACLS; Labor & Delivery – ACLS, NRP; Medical Nursing – OB/GYN – PALS; Nursery – NRP; Pediatrics – PALS; PACU/Recovery – ACLS, PALS)
- Within 12 months from start in specialty area to acquire appropriate certification; within 18 months to acquire TNCC for ED
- Must have de-escalation training completed by end of orientation (90 days)
- Minimum one (1) year of inpatient clinical experience, within past five (5) years or evidence of successful refresher program
