Job Summary
RMTC Product Support Team Leader in Rocky Mount, NC, providing technical leadership and hands-on problem-solving support for complex engine systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Applies mechanical design, systems understanding, and technical troubleshooting to resolve issues across engine components, ensuring production continuity. Requires strong CAD/3D modeling skills and familiarity with BOM management via Windchill and IMS. Leads cross-functional teams, sets priorities, and directs resources to restore production quickly and safely. Communicates technical guidance to technicians and summarizes progress for leadership. Applies structured problem-solving methodologies (7-step process) and tools such as FTA and RCA to drive root-cause identification and durable corrective actions. Oversees day-to-day team activities, reviews engineering change documentation, and guides cross-functional partners toward practical solutions. Experience with electrical systems, electronic components, EHI, software, or controls integration is advantageous. An in-person interview at the Rocky Mount Engine Plant is preferred to ensure alignment with the fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- CAD and 3D modeling proficiency
- familiarity with bill-of-materials structures (BOM) and data management systems (Windchill and IMS)
- experience leading cross-functional teams
- ability to organize resources and direct priorities to restore production
- strong communication skills for technicians and leadership
- experience with problem-solving methodologies (7-step process, FTA, RCA)
- ability to review and approve engineering change documentation
- experience with engine hardware concerns; beneficial: electrical systems, electronic components, EHI, software, or controls integration
- in-person interview at Rocky Mount Engine Plant preferred
