Job Summary
School Counselor at Ringgold School District to develop and coordinate a comprehensive school counseling program focusing on individual student development, academic achievement, career planning, and transition services from school to community. Responsibilities include delivering guidance lessons, conducting individual and small-group counseling, assisting with post-secondary planning (PSAT/SAT/ACT/AP, transcripts, college applications), coordinating IEP/GIEP/504 processes, maintaining data and records, collaborating with teachers, parents, and community agencies, and providing crisis intervention and life-skills guidance. Requires Master’s Degree and PA School Counseling Certification with endorsement in Pre-vocational or Vocational coordination preferred; includes duties across academic, career, and personal-social development, scheduling, program improvement, and advocacy for students with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- PA Certification in Elementary or Secondary School Counseling
- Valid Professional Education License endorsement in one of the following areas: Pre-vocational Coordinator or Vocational Coordinator, preferred
