Job Summary
Demonstrate curriculum understanding and pedagogical knowledge by providing relevant learning experiences that utilize research-based strategies to engage students in active learning. Plan effective instructional strategies using state and local standards to address differentiated needs, while analyzing student learning data to inform planning and modify instruction. Manage the learning environment by establishing clear expectations, enforcing rules consistently, and implementing safety measures to create a secure, supportive space conducive to high-level academic achievement. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders to share goals and progress, while collaborating with paraprofessionals and district personnel to ensure student success. Compile required reports accurately and adhere to federal, state, and district policies throughout the 190-day contract year.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Georgia Educator Certificate in assigned teaching field as required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission
- Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position
