RMN Test Pit Operator

Test Pit Technician performs operational and function tests of a completed apparatus on the water pump system, foam system, generator, and aerial device to ensure Rosenbauer’s high quality standards. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining test pit equipment for pump performance verification, conducting pump flow/pressure/vacuum tests per NFPA 1900, documenting test results and flagging non-conformances, collaborating with engineers and mechanics to troubleshoot failures, calibrating/maintaining test equipment, ensuring safety compliance, assisting in developing standardized work instructions and test plans, supporting in-process and final inspections, scheduling and overseeing UL audits, and performing other duties as required. Tools used include hand tools, torque wrench, gauges, VOM meters, and calipers. KSA’s emphasize strong mechanical/technical ability, knowledge of NFPA 1900 standards, familiarity with water flow and pressure gauges, safety protocols, and the ability to interpret performance specs. The role requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical material, follow directions, perform basic math, and work with minimal supervision in a team setting.
