Job Summary
Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care for male patients with mental health disorders, dementia, or neuropsychiatry needs, acting as the patient's named nurse. Monitor and review Nursing Care plans while observing patient progress to evaluate treatment effectiveness. Assist qualified staff in implementing individual care plans to facilitate wellbeing and dignity, delivering prescribed care within an agreed framework. This Level 2 rehabilitation role at Priory Hospital Dewsbury supports severe and enduring mental health cases, including admissions from prison or placement breakdowns.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Active NMC registration
- Completed preceptorship programme
- At least 6–12 months' post-registration experience within an eating disorder unit
- Good understanding of NMC standards
- Understanding of professional practice
- Understanding of safeguarding requirements
- Commitment to continuous professional development
