Job Summary
Coordinate daily production activities to ensure volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are met. Supervise line personnel, monitor build book signoffs, and train staff while providing feedback on performance. Resolve line stoppages by collaborating with engineering on BoMs, design, and process issues. Work directly with material specialists for accurate delivery and maintain safe, orderly workspaces. Utilize tools including welders, fabrication machines, and paint equipment as needed. Perform duties as required by the supervisor, including occasional evening work, weekends, overtime, and local travel for parts or events.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- 1+ years of department specific experience
- 1+ years of Rosenbauer build process experience
- Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books
- Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately
- Able to follow written and verbal directions
- Able to give verbal and written directions that can be followed
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Smartsheets
- Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot
- Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed
- Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines
- Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
- Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all
- Driving license
- Own Vehicle
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally
- Overtime as needed to meet the needs of the department
- Local travel to tradeshows, trainings, or other Rosenbauer sponsored events
- Overnight travel to tradeshows, trainings, or other Rosenbauer sponsored events
- Forklift license
