Job Summary
Electrical Designer will design, develop, and test electrical systems related to ARFF firetrucks. Responsibilities include maintaining, updating, and creating electrical schematics and bills of materials for ARFF vehicles and systems; supporting Rosenbauer technicians with technical information, procedures, and programming; assisting production with timely, accurate technical information, troubleshooting, and assembly training; and analyzing design, production, and field issues to achieve successful resolutions. Requires an associate degree in electrical design or drafting (preferred) and experience with CAD/engineering tools (AutoCAD, Windchill, CREO, SolidWorks, BOM management). Strong ability to interpret technical documentation, communicate with cross-functional teams, and comply with safety requirements. Proficiency in MS Excel and ability to read/write reports and professional correspondence are expected, along with the capacity to travel locally as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in electrical design or drafting preferred.
- 2 years of programing, loading, and testing software configurations preferred.
- Vehicle electrical system experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical theory preferred.
- Previous experience with all facets of heavy vehicle construction and operation preferred.
- Bill of Material and CAD System experience preferred..
- Experience with schematic design / AutoCAD / Windchill / CREO preferred.
