Job Summary
Join KBRA's RMBS team as an Analyst/Senior Analyst focused on transaction analysis including originator evaluations and bond structure modeling. Successful candidates will possess a relevant degree and experience in credit analysis within the ABS sector. Responsibilities include preparing credit memoranda, producing transaction reports, and engaging in ongoing transaction surveillance. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel are essential.
Required Qualifications
- B.A. / B.S. degree in a relevant field of study
- Analyst level: Zero to two years of experience in performing credit analysis within the ABS sector at a Rating Agency, Buy-Side Investor, Credit Research, or similar environment
- Senior Analyst level: Either a minimum of two or more years of experience in performing credit analysis within the ABS sector at a Rating Agency, Buy-Side Investor, Credit Research, or similar environment or an advanced degree such as an MBA
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and work closely with partners in a collaborative environment
Desired Qualifications
- Strong Excel skills
- VBA, Python, R and SQL skills are a plus
- Familiarity with resi-mortgage datasets and tools such as CoreLogic, Fannie/Freddie Single Family Data, Intex etc. is a plus
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity is a plus
