Job Summary
Drive financial results by building a strategic client acquisition pipeline to deepen your portfolio and expand the Bank's market presence. Cultivate a robust prospect list through strong business development and networking to drive new loan fundings, deposits, and SBA deals for companies with revenue between $5 million and $25 million. Ensure appropriate client coverage through disciplined calling efforts, understanding client strategic objectives, and executing optimal financial solutions. Partner across the firm to oversee deals from inception to close while actively identifying and mitigating regulatory, reputational, operational, and credit risks. Pursue the latest information to build a knowledge base on financial products, markets, and business trends. Utilize reports and data to self-manage the sales pipeline and production goals. Requires 7 years of commercial banking experience, a Bachelor's degree, and formal Credit Training. Based in Dallas with offices in Austin, Fort Worth, Houston, Richardson, Plano, and San Antonio.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/finance, accounting, or related field
- 7 years of commercial banking experience
- Strong knowledge of banking suite of products and services
- Industry trends knowledge
- Financial acumen to assess and deliver on prospect/client need
- Formal Credit Training (Commercial Credit certification or from another bank) or commensurate underwriting experience
- Self-starter and persistent
- Natural disposition to strive to exceed calling metrics and production goals
- Effective team player with ability to work across business partner groups in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
- Operates with a sense of urgency balanced with adherence to the firm's risk appetite
- Exceptional writing, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to identify and solve problems/issues and timely escalation of known risks and issues
- High interest in, outreach to, and involvement in the communities where we live and work
- Strong knowledge and application using Salesforce and MS Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/finance, accounting, or related field preferred
- Minimum 7 years of commercial banking experience preferred, with a focus on business banking clients
- Formal Credit Training (Commercial Credit certification or from another bank) or commensurate underwriting experience preferred
