Job Summary
Teach small tutorial sections for the Introduction to the Study of Religion course, mark assignments, hold scheduled office hours, and invigilate exams. Conduct teaching duties as determined by the supervisor during the September 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026 session. Submit a cover letter, CV, and completed employment application to Dr. B. Gettler by August 23, 2026. Applicants must hold a completed PhD or equivalent with a major field in the relevant topic area.
Required Qualifications

- major field in the relevant topic area
- demonstrated effectiveness as a teaching assistant
- academic qualifications in the subject
- ability to introduce students to a diverse range of approaches
- suitability for the position
- results of evaluations when available
Desired Qualifications
- advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III
