Job Summary
Support special education students at Riverside Elementary School as a site-based educational assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. Provide daily assistance during the 7-hour workday across the 182-day calendar, implementing individualized education plans and fostering cooperative relationships with students and staff. Maintain office procedures and demonstrate business English proficiency while assisting with computer-based tasks. Bilingual and biliterate candidates in Spanish are preferred. This role contributes to the district's mission of empowering all students to reach their potential within an inclusive learning community.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade
- Two years of college study
- An associate's or higher degree
- A passing score on the District reading, writing, and math assessment
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Knowledge of and experience with computers
- Knowledge of business English, spelling and mathematics
- Some knowledge of office practices and procedures
- Type at a working rate speed
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees
- Ability to get along well with students
