Job Summary
Own the design and optimization of fraud rules and strategies that balance prevention, efficiency, and customer experience. Analyze onboarding, account, and transaction data to uncover emerging patterns, then backtest rule changes to assess impacts on fraud rates and operational workload. Develop, test, and tune controls across customer touchpoints while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Risk Operations to embed defenses and ensure scalable, actionable decisions. Implement automation and external data sources to strengthen the risk engine, translating complex insights into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in fraud, risk strategy, or data analysis
- proficiency in SQL (joins, aggregations, window functions, subqueries)
- ability to write efficient queries with minimal supervision
- analytical mindset with curiosity to dig into trends and understand the 'why'
- ability to own projects from start to finish
- ability to define the problem, dive into data, and drive solutions to completion
- strong communication skills for translating complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations

Desired Qualifications
- credit risk experience – comfortable with portfolio analysis, decisioning logic, and/or underwriting models
