Job Summary
Lead safety program development and delivery across Schweitzer Mountain Resort; create, deliver, maintain and track safety training sessions and materials; conduct facility safety walkthroughs and incident investigations with root-cause analysis; support OSHA, state, and other compliance initiatives; coordinate and lead the resort’s Safety Committee; serve as primary contact for workers’ compensation and liability insurance loss-prevention resources; maintain OSHA 300 logs; collaborate with HR, Mountain Operations, Ski Patrol, Housekeeping, F&B, and Snowsports School; manage budget considerations for safety and compliance; pursue ongoing professional development and participate in industry safety conferences; must be able to ski or snowboard at an advanced level and travel to safety summits as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years in workplace safety, training, or loss prevention
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
