Job Summary
Risk Oversight Lead for Commerce Payments in JPMorgan Chase's Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management group acts as a second line of defense partner to Digital Payments and Card Payments teams. Responsible for evaluating risks of new product features (e.g., digital wallets, tokenization, co-brand programs) and changes to payment experiences, and recommending controls that protect the firm while ensuring a great customer experience. Collaborates with Legal, Compliance and Controls; drives education and advocacy to promote a positive risk culture. Responsibilities include conducting assessments of new payment features or modifications, maintaining deep understanding of wallet and card payment flows, applying cross-channel controls to mitigate risk, escalating risk as needed, partnering with the business to solve problems within the risk management framework, staying current on provisioning, tokenization, authentication, technology, and digital financial services trends, and communicating complex issues to senior stakeholders. Requires strong verbal and written communication, ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, and a track record of analytical thinking and risk-informed decision making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5 years in a control function (Audit, Controls, Operational Risk Management, Information Risk Management, Compliance) or other relevant function
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to defend positions and influence with quantitative analysis developed with an analytical team
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technically oriented individuals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment
