Job Summary
Partner with assigned line-of-business, Risk/Compliance/Audit Managers to create, implement, maintain, review, or oversee an effective risk management framework for trustee and custodial relationships. Participate in projects ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws while identifying gaps to minimize losses from inadequate processes or human errors. Identify, respond to, and escalate risks as appropriate, serving as a functional liaison between the line-of-business and lines-of-defense. Leverage knowledge of trustee services, ERISA, fee administration, and digital asset initiatives to drive an enterprise risk management approach that solves key business line challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Typically more than six years of applicable experience
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- This role requires working onsite from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge in the following areas: trustee and custodian services, Registered Investment Advisor rules, ERISA and retirement plans, fee administration and receivables, client asset pricing and valuation, cash management and disbursements, corporate actions, asset servicing, digital asset initiatives, and advisor and fiduciary services
- Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
- Considerable understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
- Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
- Strong analytical, process facilitation and project management skills
- Effective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Effective relationship building and negotiation skills
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
