Job Summary
Senior Risk Manager leading the design and delivery of Capital on Tap's risk management framework as a second-line leader. Own and refresh the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, update risk taxonomy and RCSAs, build live KRIs and risk dashboards, oversee transition to a GRC platform, and support wind-down planning aligned with FCA expectations. Collaborates with UK Compliance Director and Risk Owners, engages Internal Audit and third-party assurance, and supports risk culture across product launches, partner-bank changes, and AI implementations. Requires extensive FCA-regulated risk expertise, framework design experience, FinTech/payments background, and strong written communication. Hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week in the London office.
Required Qualifications
- Deep Regulatory Expertise: Comprehensive working knowledge of FCA SYSC 4, 6 and 7, the EMD/PSD regime, FCA WDPG and CASS 10A
- Framework Design Experience: Hands-on experience designing or refreshing an Enterprise Risk Management Framework: taxonomy, appetite, KRIs, RCSA methodology and Risk Committee reporting
- FinTech / Payments Background: Experience in an FCA-regulated firm in EMI, payments, banking or FinTech space
- Forward-Looking Reporting: Track record of building effective risk reporting
- Stress Testing & Wind-Down: Experience embedding stress testing, reverse stress testing and wind-down planning
- Senior Stakeholder Influence: Ability to challenge at Director and C-suite level
- Urgency & Business Focus: Ability to work at pace in fast-moving environments
- Nice to Have: GRC Platform experience; AI risk management; Professional qualifications (IRM/FRM/PRMIA)

Desired Qualifications
- Professional qualifications in risk (IRM, FRM, PRMIA or equivalent)
- Big 4 or consulting background in financial services risk is welcome
- Deep Regulatory Expertise in FCA SYSC 4, 6, 7, EMD/PSD regime, FCA WDPG and CASS 10A
- Experience designing or refreshing an Enterprise Risk Management Framework
- Strong written communication for Risk Committee briefings and Board notes
