Job Summary
Market Risk Associate in JPMorgan Chase's Chief Investments Office, focused on end-to-end regulatory stress testing for CCAR, macroeconomic variable projection, model validation and enhancements, and clear senior-management communications. Responsibilities include executing stress testing processes, reconciling positions to risk systems, estimating impacts across stress horizons for fixed income portfolios, validating results with offline analytics and benchmarking, analyzing market risk drivers, and producing senior-ready materials. Requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field, 3+ years in derivatives or market risk, strong fixed income and risk-metrics knowledge, and excellent communication and independent-working abilities. Location: New York, NY; on-site role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, finance, or a quantitative field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in derivatives (trading, sales, structuring, market risk, or risk reporting)
- Strong knowledge of securitized products, interest rate products, credit, or other fixed income markets
- Understanding of market risk metrics (VaR, delta, gamma, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and lead
- Strong in controls, project management, and time management
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
- Organized and able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision
