Risk Management Specialist

Job Summary
Partner with administrative leadership to provide continual risk assessment, develop policies and procedures, and conduct internal investigations. Perform data collection and analysis of Occurrence Reports, execute audits based on trending events, and assist in HIPAA audits. Coordinate patient complaints by maintaining logs, conducting chart reviews, and issuing findings reports to the Director of Compliance. Collaborate with Medical Directors to prepare timelines for the Peer Review Committee and conduct patient tracers to identify process improvements. Log and track medical recalls, ensuring timely resolution and documentation. This role supports Mountain View Hospital's mission to provide compassionate care across the Snake River Valley, including 29 affiliate clinics.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree
- 2 - 3 years hospital experience
- customer service experience
- Must communicate in a timely manner, clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Competent background in mathematics and statistics
- Work well under pressure
- ability to understand and evaluate regulations and guideline
- Demonstrates skills in interpersonal relationships with patients and their families, co-workers, supervisors and management
- ability to influence change without direct authority
