Job Summary

Conduct credit analysis and support senior credit officer approval of lending and trading-related transactions, including operating exposures. Prepare written credit approval documents, including spreading and analysis of historical financial statements and projections of future cash flows. Develop forward-looking views of business, financial performance, and key risks for covered companies and sectors. Manage and monitor a portfolio of client credit exposures on an ongoing basis, including surveillance and portfolio management projects. Assign risk ratings and maintain updated credit research for portfolio clients. Participate in negotiating, finalizing, and executing documentation for loans and derivatives. Requires a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related discipline, plus three years of professional experience in corporate or commercial credit.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
  • 3 years plus of professional experience in corporate or commercial credit, investment banking, or relevant financial services or rating agency experience
  • Academic training in accounting, corporate finance, capital markets products, and macroeconomics
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with effective interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with a corporate bank credit team or at a credit rating agency
  • Experience in real estate or corporate credit coverage
