Job Summary
Lead Commercial Credit Officer within Risk Management and Compliance responsible for analyzing commercial loans to franchised auto dealers, structuring transactions consistent with policies, and owning the credit process for a portfolio around $750 million. Responsibilities include preparing credit reviews, assessing repayment capacity via financial statements and cash flow, determining risk ratings with rationale, managing portfolio activities (annual reviews, modifications, covenant breaches, inventory audits), mentoring analysts, and coordinating with bankers while engaging clients, virtually or in person. Requires broad credit expertise across floorplan, real estate, and acquisition lending, with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills and a track record of decisive judgment. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (MBA preferred) and 7+ years of relevant experience are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent work experience
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
- 7+ years commercial credit analysis / automotive captive experience
- Hands-on experience analyzing commercial loans to franchised auto dealerships (floor plan, real estate, acquisition lending)
- Superior analytical, interpersonal, analysis, and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated judgment and ability to act decisively
- Expert knowledge of credit philosophy and policies; understanding of commercial loan documentation requirements and related legal issues
- Thorough knowledge of the Bank's policies and procedures, as well as its products and their inherent risks
