Job Summary
Lead Risk Management for the CANDU refurbishment program on the Cernavoda Unit 1 project in Romania. Develop and implement risk-management methodologies, governance, and processes; ensure periodic reviews to identify, document, and retire risks; develop mitigating actions to reduce risk probability; document residual risks; interface with various project departments and the Station to monitor risk profiles; ensure compliance with applicable quality assurance standards across design, procurement, and implementation of works.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Risk Management on large nuclear projects
- Previous experience in the refurbishment and/or operation of a CANDU Station
- Extensive knowledge of Engineering/Construction/Environmental/IAEA related laws, regulations and standards
- Extensive knowledge of Risk Management Programs and processes
- Ability to communicate effectively, possess excellent oral and writing skills, and strong facilitation, negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills
- Ability to adequately disposition comments for other management staff
- Sound judgment and a keen sense of responsibility
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and lead in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet objectives and targets
- Ability to make decisions based on established requirements, procedures and practices
- Ability to communicate in Romanian is considered an asset
