Job Summary
Associate in Country Risk Management evaluates sovereign risk across macroeconomic, political, fiscal, and monetary factors and assigns internal risk ratings. The role involves governance of the risk measurement methodology, supporting methodology projects, engaging with Market Risk, Credit Risk, and business partners to enhance risk capture, participating in firmwide stress testing exercises (CCAR/CECL), developing qualitative models and systemic processes for stress testing, and staying informed on regulatory guidelines and industry best practices. The team works globally across lines of business and with regulators; collaboration, rigorous analytics, and clear communication are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, mathematics, sciences or related discipline
- Proficiency in Python, Alteryx and Tableau
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Familiarity with credit or market risk products and measures
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting complex topics
- Team-oriented personality; ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Pro-active, intellectually curious, and self-motivated
