Job Summary
Monitor federal grant requirements, prepare agency reports, and conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to grant conditions. Oversee ambulatory care licensing compliance by coordinating regulatory inspections and addressing identified issues. Schedule monthly board meetings, record minutes, and manage governance documentation. Ensure FTCA liability coverage compliance through risk assessments, documentation submission, and staff training. Develop compliance policies, investigate issues, and maintain detailed records for senior management. Stay current with healthcare laws to adjust programs accordingly. Full-time position in Newark, NJ, with occasional travel and flexible evening hours for board meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of compliance experience in a hospital or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
- Thorough knowledge of federal grant compliance, ambulatory care licensing regulations, and FTCA requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and compliance management software
- Full-time position based in Newark, NJ
- Occasional travel may be required for training and conferences
- Must be able to work flexible hours to attend monthly board meetings
- Must be available one evening a month for Saint James Health board meeting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems, EPIC experience Preferred
- Familiarity with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) guidelines
