Job Summary
Assess creditworthiness of clients and assign appropriate credit ratings, performing customer due diligence and financial analysis to summarize in written credit approval memos. Review and approve trading activity, recommending margin requirements and structural enhancements, while overseeing legal negotiations for traded products. Set and communicate credit exposure appetite across trading products using internal methodologies and act as principal contact for colleagues in Sales & Trading, Prime Brokerage, and other CIB functions. Understand market developments and industry trends to assess their impact on client portfolios, demonstrating the ability to mentor junior resources and lead group-wide efficiency projects.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in finance or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional work experience within financial services
- An understanding of accounting, trading products and an interest in markets
- Strong interest in client interaction and possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure on teams in a demanding environment
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
