Job Summary

Risk Control Consultant responsible for the overall risk control assessment, evaluation, consulting and technical support on complex issues. Provides risk assessment information to support underwriting for prospective, new and renewal accounts; submits risk control recommendations; develops customized risk control strategies and implementation plans; advises on policy, marketing and business strategy; conducts training and education; builds internal/external partnerships; may lead special projects and travel to client sites. Required skills include advanced risk control expertise, strong communication and presentation abilities, organizational and analytical problem-solving skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and willingness to travel extensively.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Typically 5-8 years risk control experience with a proven track record
  • Advanced risk control knowledge and insurance principles
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Professional designations preferred
