Job Summary
Risk Consultant will provide loss control and risk management services for clients, including designing and maintaining safety programs (e.g., Injury and Illness Prevention Programs, Ergonomic Programs, Emergency Response Planning, Hazard Communications, Food borne Illness), developing training curricula, conducting client meetings and sales calls to illustrate how the service team supports accident prevention, regulatory compliance, and liability reduction. The role requires 50-70% travel to client locations, a bachelor’s degree (preferred in environmental/risk/safety management or related fields), a professional credential or license in occupational safety or loss control, 3-5 years of related consulting experience, and strong written/oral communication skills to develop plans, training materials, and reports for diverse industries. The position emphasizes establishing and maintaining client relationships, staying current with safety regulations, and delivering measurable program outcomes through site visits and service planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree required
- Obtain and maintain a credential or license related to occupational safety and health or loss control which meets industry standards or other insurance specialty areas
- 3-5 years directly related consulting experience in loss prevention, risk management, progressive safety/health field, and regulatory requirement compliance
- Current knowledge and understanding of State and Federal industry standards for employee health and safety requirements within one or more of the firm’s practice group industries (e.g., Construction, Healthcare, TechLife)
- Demonstrated ability to retrieve and enter information using various proprietary software applications and create/modify documents and complex spreadsheets using Microsoft Office suite
- Maintaining a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
