Job Summary
Manage the firm's professional indemnity claims processes by identifying potential circumstances, advising stakeholders on risk mitigation, and maintaining accurate records of all claims and investigations. Oversee the Small Claims Bordereaux process, complaints management framework, and data retention requirements while monitoring trends, root causes, and regulatory deadlines. Act as a key point of contact for partners and legal teams regarding claims, conflicts of interest, and breach incidents, coordinating with insurers, brokers, and the Data Protection team to ensure compliance with SRA regulations. Draft and maintain risk policies, produce management information for senior leadership, and provide technical guidance to colleagues across the business on regulatory and operational risk matters.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience working within a regulated environment
- Strong knowledge of Solicitors Regulation Authority regulations and Codes of Conduct
- Demonstrable experience managing risk, compliance, complaints, claims or regulatory matters
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience of drafting, implementing and improving policies, procedures and governance frameworks
- Ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team ethic with the ability to work independently, collaboratively and provide guidance and support to others where required
