Job Summary
The Risk and Safety Manager is responsible for fostering a strong safety culture, promoting risk management processes, and conducting risk assessments to mitigate hazards. Key responsibilities include developing risk management plans, leading safety training, investigating incidents, ensuring compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA and DOT, and enhancing emergency response plans. Candidates should ideally have a bachelor's degree in risk management or related fields and possess strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in risk management or Business Administration or five years of risk management experience preferred.
- Proficiency in computer use, data entry, and effectively utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven capability in defining, designing and delivering successful behavioral based safety programs.
- Excellent professionalism and communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Exceptional analytical skills required.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to excel.
- Proactive to address business issues or concerns.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification preferred.
- Extensive experience with EHS and DOT safety audits, training programs, and accident investigation.
