Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of policyholder operations, management controls, and loss history to create reports outlining risk analysis and reduce workplace incident frequency. Interpret OSHA, ANSI, and safety standards to educate clients on compliance while establishing full-range service plans for medium and large premium policyholders. Evaluate environmental exposures, plan safety-related educational programs, and present training to control risks for customers. Provide first-class customer service, mentor team members, and collaborate internally to achieve individual and team goals. Requires valid driver's license, flexibility for overnight stays, and remote work from Minnesota.
Required Qualifications
- Six plus years' experience working in a safety-related field (manufacturing or construction setting) or working with an insurance company
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate customer's needs, which may require overnight stays
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations related to workers' compensation insurance, safety and OSHA
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in safety, risk management or science preferred
- Direct safety field experience can be substituted for a four-year degree
- Master's degree in safety, risk management or science preferred
- CSP, CRM or similar insurance designation
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to develop and conduct training programs
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships
- Candidates with advanced Safety/Risk experience are encouraged to apply
