Job Summary
Assist the Risk and Compliance Manager in implementing and monitoring risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures. Identify business weaknesses and economic trends, track daily risk events, and update risk register scores to ensure no control lapses go unnoticed. Maintain compliance software databases, monitor local laws and international standards, and draft periodic reports for management and regulators. Create checklists to follow up on auditor findings, review company policies for loopholes, and organize training sessions to teach staff on compliance protocols. This role supports the overall risk management function at VisionFund Kenya, a financial services company and key investment of World Vision Kenya. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in finance or related fields, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in MS Office. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in finance, business administration, risk management, or a related field
- Sound knowledge of risk management principles, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks, conduct root-cause analysis, and propose solutions
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines
- Proficient in using MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in risk management, compliance, or a similar role
- Familiarity with microfinance industry regulations and best practices
