Job Summary
Manage and optimise credit risk and fraud strategies for lending operations, focusing on borrower and counterparty risk to drive improvements in credit assessments. Own performance and projects by splitting time between task exploration, coding, and presenting compelling data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Automate repeating tasks to free up capacity for high-impact initiatives, while delivering analyses under tight deadlines with strong commercial acumen. Join a four-person data team covering all products, where you will apply expertise in underwriting performance and statistical modeling using Python, R, or SAS. This role sits within Tabeo's dominant market position for patient finance, supporting over 6,000 dental practices as the company seeks to reinvent memberships and launch voice/chat AI solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in credit risk analysis, with a focus on consumer lending.
- Expertise in underwriting performance and model functions
- Proficiency in building models using statistical tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS, or similar).
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex projects.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Organised, meticulous, and adept at time management.
- Capable of explaining complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to align analysis with business goals.
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with tools such as BigQuery, DBT, and open banking platforms is an advantage.
- Experience in counterparty risk analysis is a plus.
