RIS PACS Administrator (Part-Time Opportunity)

Job Summary
RIS PACS Administrator for part-time role responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing RIS and PACS imaging systems. Supports imaging workflows, image acquisition, storage, distribution, and system integration with HIS/EMR; performs system administration, troubleshooting, workflow optimization, training, and project support; collaborates with radiologists, technologists, physicians, vendors, and IT teams; ensures compliance with DICOM/HL7 standards and operational excellence; manages backups, archival processes, disaster recovery, and documentation; requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field and PACS/RIS experience with industry-specific applications, plus strong communications and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- PACS Administrator certification or CIIP designation is preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years of related experience supporting PACS, RIS, or healthcare imaging informatics systems
- Experience with Meditech Expanse, Philips PACS, and third-party radiology applications (e.g., PowerScribe, syngo.via, DynaCAD) is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of DICOM, HL7, diagnostic imaging workflows, and imaging modalities
- Experience with SQL, Oracle, database querying, reporting, and data analysis
- Knowledge of HIS/EMR integrations and provincial reporting systems (e.g., WTIS, OHIP billing, OLIS) is considered an asset
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
- Strong customer service, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-management skills
- Ability to interpret technical and clinical requirements and translate them into practical workflow solutions
- Demonstrated commitment to workflow optimization, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Satisfactory passing of a criminal record check/vulnerable sector check
- Provide proof of Immunization and TB records
- Flexibility to participate in a rotational shift schedule
