Job Summary
Provide school-based speech-language pathology services in the Benton School District, including screening and diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic services, and development/implementation of IEPs for students with disabilities. Collaborate with general and special education staff, train and supervise SLP-A personnel, maintain accurate student records and Medicaid documentation, and invite parental participation in the IEP process. Serve across individual, small group, and classroom settings with emphasis on communication, language, and literacy goals, while adhering to ABESPA and ASHA standards and district procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
- State licensure/credentials ABESPA
- ASHA certification or eligibility
- Ability to conduct screenings and diagnostic evaluations
- Ability to provide therapeutic services for students with disabilities
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Understanding of Common Core Standards and assessments
- Experience working in school-based setting and collaboration with school personnel
- Knowledge of assistive technology
- Ability to supervise SLP-A and train staff
- Maintain Medicaid documentation as required by the district
