Job Summary
RIM Process Technician at Magna Exteriors supports production and troubleshoots quality issues from a process perspective. Responsibilities include starting and shutting down press operations, addressing downtime and cycle deficiencies, calling in maintenance or support as needed, reporting master inaccuracies and ongoing issues to process and production leaders, attending process-team meetings, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires practical experience with decoupled molding processes using TPO, ABS, PC ABS, and ASA, as well as data-entry in Excel, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Desired capabilities include strong verbal/written communication, organizational skills, mathematical ability, and flexibility to rotate between jobs. Licenses for tow motors and cranes and familiarity with RJG or similar certification are assets; familiarity with RGJ Mold is noted as advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one-year experience in a fast-paced production environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of some post-secondary education in a technical field preferred
- Experience entering and manipulating data in Microsoft Excel
- Practical experience setting up Decoupled Molding processes with TPO, ABS, PC ABS and ASA
- Towmotor and crane license
- RJG systematic certified or similar course (RGJ Mold an asset)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to rotate between jobs as required
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Must be quality minded, safety conscious and reliable
