Job Summary
Right of Way Agent in Wisconsin responsible for land acquisition, permitting, and project support for energy infrastructure. Responsibilities include establishing trust with landowners, coordinating meetings with project stakeholders, negotiating and securing fee titles, easements, leases, licenses, and permits, estimating potential construction impacts, conducting land research, explaining project scopes and timelines to landowners, preparing agreements and permits, and representing the company at public meetings. Requires 1-3 years in related real estate tasks, travel up to 50%, field and office work mix, and a preference for licensed WI/MN real estate agents. This is an entry-to-mid level role with remote-friendly hybrid work and primary focus in Wisconsin, with potential project work across the United States.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in reviewing title work, landowner acquisition, permitting, and other real estate related tasks
- ability to understand local, state, and federal statutory requirements for voluntary and eminent domain land acquisitions and real estate permitting
- willingness to train the right candidate
- Licensed Wisconsin & Minnesota Real Estate Agent (or willingness to get licensed)
- ability to travel and conduct overnight work up to 50 percent
- strong communication and negotiation skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with ArcGIS or Google Earth preferred
