Job Summary
Obtain fee titles, easements, permits, and agreements for utility and public projects through negotiations with property owners. Research property records to verify ownership and encumbrances, then review survey drawings, legal descriptions, and title reports for accuracy. Conduct appraisal site inspections, prepare cost estimates, and draft legal instruments for conveyance including deeds and purchase contracts. Serve as a liaison with agencies to secure approved permits and leases while maintaining accurate maps, logs, and records. Perform daily local travel to landowners and clients under supervision, with no overnight travel expected. Requires a valid driver's license, real estate license, and two years of right of way industry experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years' experience working in the right of way industry including experience reading plans, understanding legal descriptions, reading title reports, and negotiating with property owners
- Valid driver's license
- Valid real estate license in the state of assignment
- Ability to pass a background check
