Job Summary
Acquire rights to easements, full and partial takings, and long-term leases by independently contacting landowners, evaluating project plans and property plats, and negotiating property purchases. Prepare title abstract requests, review appraisals, analyze zoning codes, and complete permit applications while managing assigned parcels within defined authority. Escalate complex issues appropriately and ensure all signed agreements meet client approval standards. This role requires an active real estate license, three to six years of experience in land acquisition or related fields, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Based in Omaha, NE, candidates must be commutable to the project site and willing to travel regularly for field meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- 3-6 years of experience in land acquisition, title searches, real estate law, appraisal field or other related fields
- Active Real Estate License
- Knowledge of real estate law and property transactions
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parcels and deadlines independently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
- Must be available for regular travel to meet with landowners, businesses, or any other viable entities
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
- Must be able to perform some light lifting or carrying documents or equipment
- Must be located within commutable distance of Omaha, NE
