Job Summary
Negotiate with landowners to acquire right of way and support transmission easement acquisition projects for APC. Assemble and complete required documentation for land rights acquisition while conducting title research in county courthouses or using internet tools to verify legal property ownership. Manage multiple projects simultaneously by keeping files organized and interacting professionally with the general public and employees to ensure timely acquisition functions. Requires 3 to 5 years of Right of Way experience, a high school diploma, and general computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 to 5 years experience with Right of Way experience
- High School diploma
- Ability to effectively and professionally negotiate for land rights on behalf of APC from property owners
- Ability to assemble and correctly complete required documentation necessary in support of land rights acquisition on behalf of APC
- General computer skills and knowledge of business applications (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to correctly locate and retrieve the necessary documentation in a county courthouse to determine legal property ownership (title research)
- Ability to use internet tools to locate and retrieve necessary documentation when available
- Ability to participate on multiple projects simultaneously and keep files organized accordingly (multitask)
- Ability to effectively interact with general public and APC employees to ensure acquisition functions are performed in a professional and timely manner throughout the acquisition process
