Job Summary
Relieve bottlenecks within the department to ensure continuous production flow and address workflow issues. Learn all positions in the assigned area to fill in as needed and identify part or resource shortages. Provide solutions for shortages or notify Supervisors when assistance is required. Facilitate Lean Manufacturing processes and request non-personnel support from Engineering and SFA by completing work orders. Communicate critical situations to Supervisors, Engineers, and Managers as appropriate. May require lifting up to 100 pounds, working long hours in extreme temperatures, and traveling 10% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED
- Minimal WorkKeys scores
- 4+ Years Experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to lift between 50 and 100 pounds assisted
- Ability to learn to work with all hand tools required of all positions within the area, including general work tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, brazing and wiring tools and equipment, forklifts, etc.
- Ability to effectively direct the flow of others
- Ability to foster teamwork and resolve conflict
- Ability to work long hours and a variety of shifts as needed
- Ability to learn and utilize materials tracking system
- Ability to work in an environment with temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees
- 10% May need to travel when appropriate depending on product line needs
