Rigging Shop Assistant

Job Summary
As a Rigging Assistant, you will perform splicing and swaging for customer orders, assist in the installation of rigging products, and ensure safety standards are adhered to in both the shop and field. The role involves driving sales through customer engagement and suggestive selling, producing quotes and orders, and educating store staff about rigging capabilities. A high school diploma is preferred along with excellent communication and customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and DMV checks
- Willing to work a varied shift based upon business needs, including unscheduled overtime
Desired Qualifications
- General sailing and boat knowledge
- Ability to read measurements, both imperial and metric
