Job Summary
Rigging Foreman oversees rigging and lifting activities, ensuring safety procedures and method statements are followed. Responsible for coordinating movement of heavy equipment, interpreting drawings/specifications, reading lift plans, and directing hoisting operations. Requires identifying equipment needs, calculating load parameters, and selecting appropriate rigging gear. Must read and follow procedures, maintain records, and communicate safety concerns to the project team. Holds certifications such as Rigger 2 and CDL-A, with experience in cranes, forklifts, gantries, aerial lifts, NCCER/NCCCO credentials, and lock-out/tag-out practices. Work is on-site with focus on safe, efficient lift operations and coordinating materials, labor, and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Rigger 2 certified & qualified
- CDL-A License/ DOT Med card
- Equipment/tool experience: Aerial – Lift Operation – Boom Lift; Aerial – Lift Operation – Scissor Lift; Forklift Operation – Material handling up to 140,000#; Forklift Operation – Material handling more to 140,000#; Telehandler; Overhead crane certified & qualified (NCCER/NCCCO); Mobile crane certified & qualified (NCCER/NCCCO); Gantry; Mobile gantry; Optical & digital layout equipment (Preferred); Trailer loading and securing of material; Lift Director Requirements - Qualified
