Rigging Estimator II

Job Summary

Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects and establish labor productivities for estimates. Maintain vendor relationships for competitive pricing, solicit subcontractor quotes, and analyze market conditions to set margin percentages. Participate in internal bid reviews, manage contract administration for secured projects, and hand off work to the Operations team. Assist with change order management and billings while supporting product line collaboration. Requires five years of construction estimating experience, proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid, and strong customer service skills. Salary range is $93,000 to $124,000 plus bonus. Local to Albany, NY; no visa sponsorship.

Required Qualifications

  • at least 5 years' experience estimating construction projects
  • Experience with estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction
  • Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI's scopes of work, specifications, materials, and methods
  • Has a record of establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and cost analysis skills
  • Ability to accurately read project schedules to determine sequencing and durations of scopes of work
  • Proficiency with computer takeoff and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word), Bluebeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift
  • Must have a sharp understanding of estimating techniques and the bidding process
  • Ability to work effectively both in a collaborative team environment and independently
  • Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they're learned
  • Possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Local to the Albany, NY area

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
  • Experience with commercial rigging projects
  • OSHA certification
  • Experience working with union representatives
