Job Summary
Rigger responsible for safely attaching, securing, and guiding loads for lifting and moving materials using cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices. Provides support for new and existing work within the fabrication facility and may perform bolt-up assembly for structural components. May work outside. Rigger I-III levels are assigned based on experience, skill level, and NCCER certification, with progression from entry to senior levels. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting instructions, inspecting materials in all weather, visualizing 3D from plans and drawings, selecting and arranging equipment, and performing installation under supervision. Physical demands and mathematical skills emphasized; education/experience equivalent to a 1-year college/technical certificate; 1-2 years for Level I, 3-5 years for Level II, 5-8 years for Level III with NCCER Certification.
