Review next day's job assignments at the end of each shift. Assist the crane operator with equipment setup, maintenance, and accessory tools including pickup trucks and haul trailers. Perform proper rigging techniques and utilize hand signals to ensure safe load lifting. Secure equipment to trailers before driving, then inspect the vehicle and complete the inspection report. Report mechanical defects to the supervisor or shop technician and monitor inventory of chains, booms, and straps. Clean and maintain rigging equipment, documenting all repairs. Monitor annual state inspections and license plates, reporting expiration dates one month in advance. Report completion of tasks to the dispatcher immediately.
