Rigger

Conduct daily rigging operations by assisting the crane operator with equipment setup, maintenance, and accessory vehicle upkeep. Secure loads using spreader bars, mats, and counterweights while providing precise hand signals for safe lifting. Operate trucks to transport equipment, ensuring proper trailer securing and completing pre-trip inspections with documented reports filed to supervisors. Monitor inventory of chains, boomers, and straps, reporting missing items and performing necessary cleaning and maintenance. Review next day job assignments at shift end and report mechanical defects or expiration notices for licenses and inspections to the supervisor.
