Job Summary
Rigger Journeyman position at Everett Ship Repair in Everett, WA. You will prepare materials for transport by crane or forklift, determine rigging selection, maintain rigging, provide crane operators with hand signals and tag line assistance during lifts, and assist with material handling, lift setup, and safe crane operations. Responsibilities include selecting and attaching lifting gear for crane or forklift transfers, signaling operators to ensure safe material movement, understanding lift configurations and capacities, maintaining rigging equipment and performing safety checks, operating forklifts up to 18 tons, using taglines, stabilizing materials post-transfer, assisting with general cleanup and preparation, collaborating with crew, sharing knowledge with apprentices, and contributing to a culture of safety and teamwork. Required skills include rigging experience, knowledge of crane hand signals, ability to control taglines for large and small lifts, basic math, and English communication. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience operating forklifts
- Knowledge of Crane Hand Signals
- Ability to Control Taglines for Large and Small Lifts
- Experience working around heavy machinery
- Good verbal communication skills
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to pass background check, drug test, and physical skills test
