Job Summary

Conduct thorough Job Safety Analyses before every task and prepare loads for movement. Set, align, and level heavy equipment and machinery while selecting appropriate rigging gear such as beams, pulleys, and clamps. Direct crane operators on proper equipment placement and perform hot bolt and torque procedures as required. Break down rigging equipment post-task and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols. Assist equipment operators and communicate effectively with the construction team. Work at heights and in confined spaces up to 200 feet, including overtime, nights, and weekends. Demonstrate proactive safety leadership through coaching and mentoring to maintain an incident-free workplace.

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
  • In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the job
  • Must have all required tools
  • Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (up to or exceeding 200 feet)
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Available to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by project needs

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferably 3–6 months of experience in rigging operations
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in steel erection or structural fabrication
