Job Summary
Lead safe, efficient, and profitable rig operations by delivering performance targets, managing budgets and forecasts, and optimizing talent to support area strategy. Champion safety culture while managing customer relationships, start-ups, and demobilizations. Ensure all operations comply with national regulations, company policies, and union agreements. Evaluate well programs for client optimization and collaborate with other rig managers to direct improvements. Provide leadership development for senior personnel and maintain primary well control onboard. Manage rig contracts to ensure unit and personnel meet requirements. Located in Ciudad del Carmen, this role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and extensive drilling industry experience. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree: Engineering discipline or any equivalent field
- Extensive experience from the drilling industry including experience from a managerial level
- Relevant educational experience in Engineering in combination with industry experience
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence direct and indirect stakeholders
- Knowledge and understanding of how to manage financial aspects of the rig operations, i.e. forecast, etc.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration across functions and rigs
- Commercial understanding
- Advanced English & Spanish proficiency
