Job Summary
Provides routine daily nursing care and services to assigned patients in accordance with the patient’s assessment and care plan, and as directed by the supervising nurse. Duties include assisting patients in and out of bed and wheelchair with transfer belt, bathing, dressing, using the bathroom, feeding and documenting intake, taking vital signs, assisting with meals, changing linens, administering personal care, assisting with admissions/discharges/transfers, and complying with care plans and safety procedures. Must hold CNA certification and CNA program diploma; CPR/BLS preferred. Requires non-exempt status and potential hours beyond normal schedule, including weekends/holidays, with potential callbacks in emergencies. Works under supervision with emphasis on patient dignity, safety, and adherence to privacy and security programs.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- CNA diploma from an accredited program
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- BLS preferred but not required
